Air Max Plus

The Nike Air Max Plus gets a brand new iteration in 2018, as this upcoming pair is highlighted by a zig-zag pattern detail across its side panels. The classic runner is basically colored in a light grey hue throughout with metallic silver accents, while the zig-zag embroidery gives it more character. Made of premium leather with mesh accents, the sneaker is detailed with a white/grey midsole that features Air Max cushioning inside.

Nike continues to focus on the Air Max category with a slew of new colorway releases and, in this case, new takes on original designs. This newest model riffs on the Air Max Plus by giving the distinctive ’90s sneaker a zig-zag update — a motif that was also seen on recent “Hyperblue” and “Tiger” colorways.

Appearing in a metallic silver rendition, this remixed Air Max Plus model features an embroidered zig-zag pattern where the usual wavy design is seen at the upper. The rest of the upper consists of pale grey leather, shimmery-silver embroidery, glittery mini Swooshes and a metallic silver leather mudguard. The silhouette is completed with a white and silver sole unit with hits of metallic gold at the outsole and visible Max Air unit.

Nike continues to unleash mashups of some of its more celebrated silhouettes, here blending sensibilities from the Air Max Plus and the Air Max 97.

Showcased in two iterations, we see one boasting the upper of the Air Max 97 with the Plus’ visible Max Air foam midsole, and the other noting the Plus upper with the visible Max Air unit of the 97. Each in turn welcomes pastel hues throughout,

In recent weeks, Nike has unveiled a few different, drastically different takes on the Air Max Plus silhouette. A little over a week ago, we were treated to a metallic silver Air Max Plus; before that, “Hyperblue” and “Tiger” colorways began the month on a bold note. Now, Nike is going for a clean, straightforward effort with an Air Max Plus that recalls last month’s “Triple White” release.

Almost completely covered in an all-white colorway, the fittingly-titled Air Max Plus White is in the running to be a staple sneaker for the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2018 run. While the shoe’s look comes about as close as you can get to matching its look, two eye-catching feature does stand out: gold Swoosh branding and Pure Platinum accents.

Air VaporMax

Following an impressive debut, Nike is gearing up for the evolution of VaporMax. Accordingly, here we get a look at the new Air VaporMax CS, sans Flyknit.

Instead, the shoe makes use of mesh and synthetic materials throughout the upper, while still showcasing familiar VaporMax tooling.

This particular pair is in turn highlighted by a volcanic look, noting a black, red and orange color combination.

For now, there are no release details surrounding the VaporMax CS, so be sure to check back with us for more.

Nike Sportswear is set to release a few new renditions of the Nike Air VaporMax for the upcoming seasons. While many of us are looking forward to the Nike Air VaporMax Strap version to release, you also have the Nike Air VaporMax CS edition hitting stores soon.

This version of Nike’s popular runner comes with no Flyknit on the upper and is paired with a mix of mesh and synthetic, making them a more affordable pair of VaporMaxs. This particular colorway comes dressed in a mix of Black contrasted with Orange and Red tones.

No word on an exact release date, but you can check out the official photos of the Nike Air VaporMax CS below. Stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates as they develop.

The Air VaporMax shows no signs of slowing, with the model recently getting retouched by Virgil Abloh and Nike’s Johanna Schneider. On the inline side of things, one of the more colorful offerings coming is this “Berry Purple” pair that leaked over the weekend.

The sneaker appears to be a women’s-only colorway, and should not be confused with the significantly lighter “Tea Berry” pair that launched this summer.

Now the forgotten model made a surprise return to Nikestore in two brand new colorways that could challenge those NSW models and find a way into your wardrobe this Spring. The ventilated leather upper adds extra breathability to your feet while the cushion is what you’d come to expect from a shoe sporting this midsole. Available in a black upper featuring a healthy dose of turbo green on the exposed Dynamic Flywire and branding as the midsole features a gradient, or a simple pure platinum and game royal, either style would be a nice pick-up. The Nike Air Max Motion debuted about a year ago as a luxurious casual answer to the Air Max+ 2013 flagship runner. We haven’t seen anything from it so far in ’14, and there’s a promise of spring season drops that were previewed last October, each of which remains unreleased as this brand new style in black with Venom Green and Volt accents arrives as a complete surprise

You didn’t forget about the Nike Air Max Motion, did you? That chunky bag Air Max model will be getting some more love this summer with an apparent City Pack. Showing up first from the group is this Rio de Janeiro flavored pair, whose yellow and blue tones sort of help convey the theme on a more national level. Continue reading to see the first shots on them and stay tuned to Sneaker News to find out when and where you can locate the upcoming Nike Air Max Motion City QS “Rio” release.

Not only has Nike Running’s current flagship, the Air Max+ 2013 given rise to casual EXT releases, there’s a whole ‘nother model out there carrying its silhouette and namesake tech. The Nike Air Max Motion NSW is the most ‘NSW’ of all the lifestyle editions we’ve seen, dialing down the performance tech on the upper in favor of graduated perforations on the upper in a style not totally dissimilar from the cult classic Zoom Moire.

Air Max Modern

As it name says, the Nike Air Max Modern is a modernized version of the classic Nike Air Max silhouette that’s now releasing in a Nike Air Max Modern SE Black Speckle colorway.

This release features an all-Black textile upper with no-sew overlays for a lightweight fit and breathability, along with a moulded collar. A speckled midsole adds for a nice detail, while 3M reflective gives this shoe a nice added touch. Completing the look is an all-Black rubber waffle outsole.

There’s a new Nike Air Max model on the way and you’re looking at it right here. Up above we take a look at the Nike Air Max Modern SE.

This new Air Max silhouette features a textile upper with no-sew overlays for a lightweight fit and breathability, a moulded collar for durable comfort, Max Air heel unit for lightweight cushioning, and a rubber Waffle-inspired outsole for durable traction. Speckled detailing on the midsole and 3M hits on the mudguard and eyestay add some pop.

Opting for a lightweight and breathable Flyknit upper, this Air Max Modern features a Rough Green (olive) upper with black detailing on the Swoosh branding and parts of the outsole. Tonal hints on the tongue, laces, inner liner, and a white midsole complete the look on this Air Max Modern Flyknit that is beginning to arrive at select Nike stockists now.

Air Max Mercurial

After getting a look at the all-new Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 in the Black/Reflect Silver colorway earlier this month, it is now back again with a new colorway for the Summer.

Dressed in white from head to toe, the Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 features a Hyperfuse mesh upper along with an Air Max sole for premium comfort. What was once know as only a soccer cleat, Nike has given the lifestyle look to this shoe and covered in the popular Triple White colorway. Some Reflective Silver accents have also been added for some slight contrast.

Following black/white and triple white colorways, the newly-introduced Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 is set to debut in a more vibrant iteration, as the silhouette pays tribute to the soccer boot worn by iconic Brazilian soccer star, Ronaldo, back in the late ’90s.

Flaunting a Brazil-inspired palette, racer blue and varsity maize are prominent along the toe cap and side panels, while metallic silver comprises the remainder of the mesh/synthetic upper.

Tonal black accents are applied on the inner lining, laces and heel pull tabs for nice touch of contrast, as a clean white full length sole unit with a distinctive air bubble in the heel unit for enhanced cushioning finishes it all off.

If there are any living legends in the world of football, one surely must be Ronaldo, the Brazilian wonder (not Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese wonder). Nike must think so too, as the company has just unveiled a new Air Max Mercurial R9 that honors the professional player.

The new colorway is a ravishing combination of royal blue, metallic silver mesh and golden yellow, as an homage to the Brazilian flag. The shoe’s striking contours give it an aesthetic that’s not far removed from the much-adored Air Max 97, and the Supreme-endorsed Air Max 98.

Stay tuned for Nike to announce the release date of the Ronaldo-inspired Air Max Mercurial R9.

Air Max Lunar 1

With “Hot Lava” being one of the preferred choice of bright hues added on a myriad of silhouettes, one particular standout consists of this Nike Air Max Lunar 1 Breeze.

Unlike the traditional makeup of an Air Max 1, this specific variation of the sneaker inherits a virtually seamless mesh upper, soft lining and stay-put tongue for an extreme lightweight feel and perfect fit. Doused with a two-tone combination of Black on the upper and Hot Lava encompassing its mudguard, the sneaker boasts a netted-like composition which bears miniature perforations that allow superb breathability, hence its “Breeze” moniker.

All resting atop a White Lunarlon sole unit for extra cushioning, subtle pops of Lime Green are also found on the visible Air Max bubble in the heel, tongue tab and Nike branding on the rear.

If you were a fan of the recent “Hot Lava” variant, this latest rendition of the Nike Air Max Lunar 1 Breeze may catch your attention yet again.

Draped in an official palette of Pure Platinum/Light Retro, the sneaker’s distinct build consists of a seamless breathable mesh upper that inherits Pure Platinum on its top half, followed by an eye-catching Teal hue encompassing its mudguard. Upon closer inspection, the revised runner incorporates a hexagonal pattern across its entirety with miniature perforations to ensure maximum breathability throughout.

Further pronounced by Black accents on the Swoosh and rear Nike branding, all while resting atop a White Lunarlon sole unit for extra cushioning, subtle hits of Orange is also seen on the visible Air Max bubble in the heel.

JD Sports is coming out with an exclusive Nike Air Max Lunar 1. Coming with a Game Royal and Wolf Grey upper, let’s take a closer look at this exclusive Nike Air Max Lunar 1.

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice about this particular Nike Air Max Lunar 1 is its mesh paneling that basically takes care of the entire upper. One thing worth mentioning that you aren’t able to see is the ‘proofing’ treatment that the upper has. The special proofing treatment gives you a level of water resistance without interrupting the overall breathability of the shoe. Underneath you will find the lunarlon sole accompanied by the Nike Air cushioning unit.

Air Max LD-Zero H

This week Nike has dropped off its new Air Max LD-Zero H. The brainchild of fragment design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara, the sneaker draws inspiration from the Nike LD1000 and its ’70s design.

This version in turn introduces a reinterpretation of the 2016 original, featuring a black suede upper, leather lining, new eye-stay finishing, doubled-up brio cables, retro branding and a full-length Max Air unit.

The great Hiroshi Fujiwara, one third of Nike’s legendary HTM design trio, has made his stamp on Air Max Day 2016 with the release of his perfectly Hiroshi Nike Air Max LD-Zero H. Making use of the colour pallet he championed for his NIKEiD collaboration, Fujiwara took the classic upper to the LD-1000, which was born from the Nike Boston and combined it with the popular Air Max 2014 sole.

Designed as part one of a three part exclusive Air Max Day series, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Nike Air Max LD-Zero H will be followed by exclusive designs from Tinker Hatfield and Nike CEO Mark Parker later this week. Combining the old with the new, Hiroshi experimented with materials before deciding on nylon and suede, which along with the blue colour, were chosen to given the Air Max LD-Zero H a classic aesthetic, with an obvious eye toward the future.

Fujiwara’s new silhouette comes just in time for Air Max Day and is slated to release exclusively on beginning tomorrow, March 19 with a global launch slated for March 26. Fans in the New York City area will also be able to reserve their pair via Kith’s women’s shop beginning tomorrow as well.
